To our highly valued patient families: We know that anxiety about the Covid-19 pandemic is increasing with each passing day. As a dentist, public health professional and the owner of Foothills Family Dentistry, it is important to tell you how our office is working to manage this situation.
Although schools and businesses are closing, it is STILL SAFE to come to Foothills Family Dentistry. We are extremely proud of our strict and highly regimented policies with infection control. We always use strong anti-viral and antimicrobial disinfectants which are effective against the coronavirus in our common areas and in each of our treatment rooms, between patients to prevent cross-contamination.
If you or any family members are sick or have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days, please contact us to reschedule your appointment without penalty. If you feel personally that you want to postpone your appointment due to the risk of illness, we understand. If you present to our office with coughing, sneezing or fever you will be asked to reschedule with no exceptions.
We have always strived to limit waiting times but due to the recent community spread with Covid-19, we will likely be bringing you into the treatment area even more quickly to minimize person to person contact. We encourage you to be on-time for your appointment, but please do not enter into the office prior to your scheduled time to limit contact with other persons. Additionally, the doctor and staff may not be shaking hands, giving high fives, hugs, etc. – as advised by the CDC.
We have also temporarily removed all reading material and our coffee bar from the waiting area to avoid unnecessary person to person cross-contamination. Please remember that this is for the safety of you and other patients with existing higher risk health conditions that we see in this office. Although to some this may be extreme, we value the health of each of our patients and staff. We feel that it is our obligation to provide the most protection possible while providing quality dental healthcare. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.
