Dr. Patel was born and raised in Michigan alongside his three siblings. His parents immigrated to the United States from India to seek a better life for their children. His father and uncle partnered together in a chemical materials company supplying the Detroit auto industry for many years.
From a very young age Dr. Patel formed a close bond with his own general dentist who made an impression on his life, influencing him to become interested in dentistry. Dr. Patel received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in Ann Arbor. As one of the Top 5 Dental Schools in the country, while there Dr. Patel received excellent training and instruction on the most cutting edge technology available in the field. After dental school, Dr. Patel practiced in Arizona for several years as a general dentist in a nonprofit dental facility where he provided care to the underserved population. It was also in Arizona where Dr. Patel met his wife Jennifer, a Pennsylvania native, who was finishing her graduate work as a speech language pathologist. They were married in May of 2014 and had their first child, Asher in September of 2015. Dr. Patel is an avid sports enthusiast and Buckeye football fan. In their free time they enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors with their two dogs as well as having an appreciation for various culinary cuisines.
They decided to relocate to North Carolina where Dr. Patel was offered a leadership role at a nonprofit clinic in Hendersonville. It was there that Dr. Patel decided it was time to pursue his goal of owning his own dental practice. In September of 2016 this goal was attained as he transitioned into Foothills Family Dentistry. He cares for the patients with kindness and respect and has enjoyed getting to know each one individually. The staff is excited to be working with Dr. Patel and looks forward to partnering with him to continue provide excellent dental care for years to come.
